Snow White and the Seven Cannibals

Snow White dreamed of venturing into the land beyond her walled kingdom and time is running short. Knowing her father is seeking a suitor for her marry, she sneaks into the Dark Forest, unaware of the dangers it conceals. Accompanied by her trusty guard, she soon becomes entangled in a savage game of cat and mouse.

Prince Donnigan is looking for his perfect mate in life. One who can truly appreciate his special gifts and not run in terror of them. Rumors have reached his land about Snow White and he hopes she will be the woman he has dreamed of. But, when he arrives to meet her, he discovers she has embarked on a treacherous journey into the woods and probably into the arms of the horrific dangers that call the forest home. Donnigan will attempt to rescue her, but by doing so he will expose himself in a way that could end his very existence.

Can he save the damsel in distress or will she be eaten alive? Will he be condemned if he tries?

Authors Note: “A darker version of Snow White where the Dwarfs are not sweet and enduring but instead are sadistic and cruel.”

LarryBirdWeaver 5.0 out of 5 stars MOST ORIGINAL, BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED SPIN I'VE EVER KNOWN OF THIS STORY Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2018 I never really thought of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as a children's story. Sure, it has all the outer trimmings of "pretty girl is rescued from utter doom by a handsome prince, and...." Oh what the hell, just say it - 'AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER..." She's like Cinderella's much cooler illegitimate cousin. There's no magic horse and carriage or glass slipper - in fact, the only thing "Cindie" and "Snowy" seem to have in common is their taste in Princes. (Did they ever want the same guy, I'd like to know) As a kid, I used to imagine the seven dwarfs being perverts, giving the phrase "heigh-HO" a whole new meaning. Hawks, on the other hand, takes the question of "what was it really like in that cottage" and hits it out of the park...more specifically, left field. The concept of presenting the dwarfs as devoting their lives to terrorizing unwitting intruders is one of the most original spins I've seen taken on this story, and Hawks does a beautiful job of making it work. The title made me laugh out loud the first time I heard of it, and I knew I just had to read this, so I basically bought it because it seemed outrageous (right in my w

The Naughty Librarian 5.0 out of 5 stars Dark but cannot wait for the next! I really enjoyed this new spin on the children's classic story of Snow White. As the title tells this is NOT your typical fairy tale telling though. Snow has spent her whole life wishing to know what is beyond the walls of her home. The forest has always held a certain allure for her. Although her childhood nightmares showed a much different view of the woods beyond the walls, she is still captivated by them. The day finally comes when she feels a now or never pull and takes a chance. A very dangerous chance. Her guard would give his life to see her safe and sound and it may very well come to that. As he and Snow come across a clearing that home 7 very dangerous men. 7 men, who to Snow's horror, are cannibals. How will she possibly get her and her guard out alive when she's caged and he's being eaten alive?!
